I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado but moved out to the Lawrence area 6 years ago to attend the University of Kansas where I got my degree in Psychology. My studies focused on pre-medicine, biochemistry, and normal and abnormal child development. I was happy to become a case coordinator at O’Connell knowing they utilized the Teaching-Family model which was conveniently conceived right down the street at KU. My passion for helping kids started early and I have volunteered with many organizations leading teenage boys in youth ministry and multiple summer camps. Despite the fact that this field can be demanding and taxing, nothing compares to being able to see a kid fully commit to the program and achieve things that they never even thought possible. When I am not at the ranch I enjoy being immersed in the outdoors flyfishing, hunting, and hiking.
